Review: Corporate Confidential

A seriously good book for anyone who doesn’t work for himself. It’s all about being a good employee and employer in the most honest and frank terms. It’s not being a good employee in the "The World is Flat" you-better-accept-your-lower-wages-and-benefits-or-I’ll-outsource-your-job agenda. It talks about gaming the system. The system sucks, it’s not right, but it is there and there are rules. These are the rules and Shapiro gives you the playbook. It’s really really good. I’d highly recommend it. For instance, women are so conditioned now  that they’re supposed to go to HR at the first sign of sexual harassment. Not so says Shapiro (a woman) and you’d be surprised to hear why. Pick it up or borrow mine. http://www.corporateconfidential.com
